More on Melbourne

Remember, the Melbourne exhibition will cost you NOTHING, we cover printing, mounting, transport and return of images. You get to bask in the warm glow of your wonderful work in a very high profile industry exhibition. Note this is not the AIPP/APPA awards. If anyone is interested in entering work in those awards please let me know and I’ll try to make it happen.

Specs for the printing of the photos for the Melbourne exhibition are;

Type: TIFF, JPEG or PSD with layers flattened and type converted to curves.
Colour Space: Adobe RGB 1998 or sRGB
Resolution: 300dpi
Size: A3 please (or as close as your photo allows, ie don’t crop your image to fit A3)

Files can be left on the studio computer or with me.

3rd year update

You'll remember that we talked about showing some of your work at the huge PMA/PIEA/AIPP conference and trade show in Melbourne from June 3-6. Dave and I will be printing and mounting the photos and then flying to Melbourne on Thursday June 3rd to set up the show so all we need from you is 3 of your best shots as files ready for printing. We need those ASAP, time is marching on. It's gonna be a cracker. Please note that if your shots included real logos, registered trade marks etc you'll need to remove or at least alter them so as not to imply you have permission to use them. Since it is a public event it will look like you were actually working for the clients whose trade marks etc you have included. Clear as mud.

YEAR 3 - 'An offer you can't refuse'.

Would you all like an extra week for checkpoint 5? That would make Checkpoint 5 May 26th and NOT next week May 19th. Please let me know ASAP. Julian

Wednesday, May 12th, 4pm AIPP Session in G103

I have confirmation from Geoff Comfort (AIPP) that they will review and critique work that you wish to submit to the national awards. Bring jpegs on a USB drive so they can be viewed easily. NOTE: this is not a general crit session about any and all work, it's ...about reviewing work that you INTEND to submit to the awards. If you are not a student member then you can join on the night.

Individual times next week

It was good to see you all last night, and thanks again for your patience with my absence. We agreed that next week we will meet individually, and I will give you the second part of the research brief. If you do need to see me before next Tuesday just email me.
